The APhA-Academy of Pharmacy Practice and Management has changed its structure to better meet the needs of its members – one built on groups of pharmacists with common interests forming Special Interest Groups (SIGs). The SIGs are forums to share best practices, bounce ideas off of, and form collaborative groups of pharmacists interested in the specific content area. Current SIGs that members may join include: Medication Management; Diabetes Management; Immunizing Pharmacists; Nuclear Pharmacy Practice; Pain, Palliative Care and Addiction; Medical Home/ACO and Preceptor. There are also two “up-and-coming” SIGs for Compounding and Transitions of Care which we are currently soliciting member support in order to establish (petitions can be found using the link below).
