What’s New in the MPA’s Meeting Planning World?

As the recently promoted meetings and membership manager for Missouri Pharmacy Association, it has been a very busy and eventful summer. And with fall here, it looks to be much of the same.

June brought another successful Annual Conference located this year in Branson.  After wrapping up the post conference CE sessions, MPA was approached about co-sponsoring events for MU Sinclair School of Nursing, Cox Health, and Cerner.  I just recently finished with Cox Health and am working to close out the School of Nursing event, moving forward with Cerner Health Conference (CHC) scheduled for October 8-12 in Kansas City.

CHC is an annual industry event for health care professionals with opportunities for 250+ education sessions, 3000+ peers to exchange insights and ideas, and 90+ exhibitors to share the latest technology.  As the ACPE accredited provider for 50 of those sessions, I’ve had a full yet exciting path ahead of me with no possibility of slowing down.

To keep the momentum going, every year MPA hosts several regional meetings throughout Missouri to keep pharmacists, technicians and student pharmacists updated on the biggest issues concerning their industry.  And for the first time, we are offering CE credit at our regional meetings. We are off to a great start this fall and it looks to be an exciting one for Missouri Pharmacy Association.
